It’s no secret that we like to entertain, whether it is a party or just having a few friends over. But we have found that frequently there are “his” and “hers” drinks that our guest looks forward to having while visiting our house. Since we are a blended household you would think that having the right glassware for any drink would be easy. But it’s not. To be honest, we have an entire cupboard of pint glasses, after all, what else would you expect from Mr. Money Saving Parent who is also Mr. GreatBeerNow.com. This leaves me and my friends who, don’t get me wrong enjoy a beer too, glass-less when it comes to serving some of our favorite drinks. While the “Red Solo Cup” song is fun, it’s not exactly the mood that I’m going for when entertaining, unless it is poolside.

His/Her Shopping at Pottery Barn
Thanks to some help online shopping at Pottery Barn, our visit to the store was really easy! Once we arrived it was straight to the glassware section, because I admit I’ve been dying for a set of mason jars. Not only are they perfect for serving up any drink but they are also useful for salads, baking, and other gifts. I don’t think that 6 is going to do it.
Of course, the husband went straight to the beer glasses section. Sure we have 153-pint glasses but apparently, there are specific glasses for specific types of beers and, well that’s what he and the guys are all about! You should see them set up a tasting room in the dining room. That’s okay Pottery Barn had exactly what he was looking for, and since they are Hefeweizen glasses (my favorite type of beer) we will call it a win-win for both of us.

Pottery Barn Wedding and Gift Registry
While shopping there we discovered that Pottery Barn has a gift registry. My son just got married and that would have been so much help! He’s in Ohio, I’m in Texas. Lots of her family and ours is in Tennessee. Just think of all the shopping we could have done both in stores and online from Pottery Barn if they had registered there! It’s so easy, you can set up the registry and in the store, mark what you would like to receive and then share it with friends and family. Personally I say why stop at a wedding registry, after all online is says “registry” so I’m going with a “gift registry” one that I can use for all occasions! Engaged couples can get great advice from both the sales staff in store, as well as suggestions online and by consulting a Pottery Barn consultant in a chat.
Find even more great gift ideas for him and her and us, in the Wedding Registry Pinterest Board my husband and I created. The good news is now we also have some great gift ideas for holidays and other special occasions. All he . . . I mean we, have to do is visit our wedding registry Pinterest board.
Go get your Mason Jar and serve up some Tennessee Down Home Punch! It’s in honor of my Tennessee roots and Tennessee Whiskey.
