We had so much fun making these globe Christmas tree ornaments. It only takes a few minutes and about three supplies. Perfect for holiday gifts exchanges, dressing up a gift basket or to decorate your tree. And, they are as easy and 1, 2, 3!

- You will need plastic globe ball ornaments. We used round ones from Amazon, but Oriental Trading also offers a selection of plastic ornaments in different shapes like stars, trees, bells, hearts, and water drop.
- Open globes and pour or paint strips of color onto sides. We used this acrylic paint set since it had so many different colors to choose from. You see one of the globes is purple, teal and pink. Those are currently her favorite colors while another one is more “traditional” with red and gold paint.
- Close globe. Shake. If you shake straight up and down it makes stripes. If you shake it all around it makes a swirl like those pictured here.
- Open globe, tap out excess paint and left finish drying.
- Top with ribbon. You can also add names and years to the outside of the globe with a paint marker too.
Family fun when it’s done! It’s something you can add to your advent calendar as well as make a great gift idea that is DIY and personalized, as well as thoughtful when using your special someone’s favorite colors.
Happy Holidays!
