Have you ever started printing out your child’s homework assignment only to run out of ink? Or how about recently, maybe you were printing out your coupons for your holiday shopping to only find yourself out of ink and unable to get those savings that you were hoping for? It frustrates me no end. I have this whole plan of what I’m going to get done and how I’m going to do it, only to find myself ink-less. Recently I found out about and was able to review not only a new HP printer, but also the HP Instant Ink service, both of which proved to me that it is possible to save time and money.

In order to be enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program you must first have an Instant Ink compatible printer. They make it easy for you you can visit the website and select the one you need for your home or office. The one you see pictured here is the HP Envy 5530. This printer was so easy to set up! I just put it on the table and plugged in the cord. See that screen? It then shows me step by step what to do. Did I miss a step? That’s okay it offers me the chance to watch the instructions all over again. It quickly and easily walked me through set up, ink installation, paper installation and Wi-Fi set up.

What do I like best about the HP Envy? I love the ease of everything from set up to use. On my other all in one I would stand there and stand there and go though the steps for scanning and still often never quite get it right. Copying was quick and easy with one push of the button. Printing from wi-fi was, well if you have had to pick up your laptop for the past 9 months and carry it to your printer, then hook it up to print then you KNOW that the ease and quickness of printing from the Wi-Fi on the HP Envy was nothing short of printing joy.
I just have to make sure the kids don’t find out about it or I’ll run out of ink. . .Oh WAIT! No, I won’t because I can do the HP Instant Ink Program!
Yes, the HP Envy printer is easy, quick, convenient with quality printing capabilities. But it is also HP Instant Ink compatible. What does this mean? It means that you can select from several Instant Ink plans and have both black and colored inks delivered to your door on a regular basis. You don’t have to do ANYTHING. You don’t have to remove the old ones, write down what you need, drive to the store hope you got the right ones or even return them if you decided to ignore the suggestion that you only use name brand inks (yes I’ve had to do that buying store brands to save a few dollars and then not have them work)
Plans start at $2.99 a month. You can roll over unused pages or even add pages if you need to. Basically, your printer connects to the HP Instant Ink service via Wi-Fi connection. When a certain number of prints have been reached (according to the plan you purchases) it automatically requests the next round of ink cartridges. So instead of being surprised by running out of ink, you can be surprised by having ink delivered automatically to your door.
Let’s recap – really cool printer. Easy set up and use. Quality, convenience, and even home delivery of ink cartridges. Did I mention it saves time and money? Check out the chart below to find out how much you can save!

But Lisa, what happens to the printer cartridges? HP takes care of that too with a recycling service which handles the safe and eco-friendly disposal of used printer cartridges. Instant Ink handles the shipping charges too!
So, really all you have to do is PRINTm SCAN and COPY! Cards, letters, papers, coupons, reports, spreadsheets
