Summer break is just around the corner and many of us are looking at summer camp options. Maybe we want a camp to help with the child care load, or to break up the summer fun and ho hums (because you know the kids are either having a great time or are bored stiff). Sometimes we want a camp to give the kids a chance to do things that they just haven’t had time to do throughout the year. Whatever the reason, it can be hard to find the right summer camp for you and your family.
As spring and summer breaks approach, many parents thoughts are turning towards the summer schedule. We wonder what can our children do during the summer that is not only fun, but that can keep them busy, learning, and entertained. Many camp programs offer fun-filled days and nights. But how can you choose the perfect camp for your kids?
Look and book early. No matter what time of camp program that you choose it is important to begin your search for camps early and when you find one that fits your family, place your deposit or reservation. Camps aren’t like school and only very limited spaces are available. Finding the right fit for camp only to lose out because it is full is no summer fun for you or your children.

We have started our summer camp planning and are thrilled that we found a summer science camp for half days. It is just the right amount of time for our young ones, while giving me time to get the house in order or work. We have also found swim lessons that were a fraction of the price of last year and offered in the early afternoon/evening so we can enjoy our days of play.
