I’ve talked to you about our experiences trying to conceive. We tried many different methods, treatments and even a corrective surgery in order to have our beautiful baby girls. It was a long drawn out process. It takes a great deal of attention to detail. It is stressful and frustrating and scary. Fertility treatments, medications, IVF (In vitro fertilization) and surgery are all also incredibly expensive. I’m excited to learn and share with couples just like us that there may be alternatives available to all those things. There may be easier and less expensive ways to conceive. Not everything works for everyone but there are ways to get started on your journey that don’t have to involve invasive and expensive treatments. Conception has come a long way since my children were conceived and one of those changes is The Stork OTC Home Conception Aid.

The Stork OTC
The Stork OTC is for couples who are trying to become pregnant, who want to try more private ways of conception at home including insemination options. It’s made for couples with the male having been diagnosed with low sperm count or motility issues, those not quite ready to head to the doctor’s office for more extensive treatment options. But The Stork OTC is also made for the couple who simply wants to time their conception as closely as they can. They may not even have any fertility issues but because of work (like teachers hoping for delivery in summer to avoid taking off work) or other personal factors simply want to time it as closely as possible. This means The Stork OTC could actually be for just about anyone.

The Stork OTC received FDA over the counter clearance and it is now available at a variety of retailers including your conveniently located CVS, without a prescription. For a full list of retailers visit The Stork OTC online and visit “Where to Buy.”
How does it work?
It’s an in home conception aid that combines an application with a cervical cap. In the easiest possible terms, the cap allows you to collect sperm and then deliver it to the cervix through the applicator. The reasons for this are many including basically making the most of what you have. The cap remains in place for 24 hours to best create an environment more suited to conception. This sounds a lot easier than my laying in the bed for 24 hours with a pillow propping up my hips so they were tilted enough.
This may sound like new “technology” to some of us but cervical caps have actually been used since the 1950’s to help couples conceive. The Story OTC has created a new and improved method to be used during the three most fertile days of your cycle. In addition to The Stork OTC it is recommended you use an ovulation kit to let you know when those three all-important days are.
Of course you should always talk to your health care provider before starting any conception efforts. It is also recommended that you consult a physician if you have used this treatment unsuccessfully for 6 straight months.

Not all treatments work for all people. In our case, had we known that the little success rate after surgery was actually what worked for us we may have started there even though it required surgery and a long recovery period. Stock OTC can help couples who know they are battling specific infertility issues get started on the path to conception in the privacy of their own home and without additional expensive treatments. Just like surgery, medications, or procedures like IVF don’t guarantee pregnancy, Stork OTC does not guarantee results either. But it can be a good place for couples to start.
