Want to know about the hottest toys this holiday season? I received the opportunity to find out about the brand new New Bright RC Reaper Pro. I admit at first I wasn’t sure that the girls would be excited about it but then I found out they weren’t the only ones!
Disclosure: I was provided with the item described in order to provide my readers with this review. All other opinions are 100% my own and my families.
The family and I headed to Walmart for the Holiday Toyland Event (we first told you about it here as I was planning to go to help me with some of our holiday traditions). The Toyland event was a special shopping section devoted entirely to the hottest toys, chosen by kids, for kids this holiday season. I admit the rows were stacked with many of the items on my daughters’ wish list and even though I was there only 30 minutes after it started the stack of New Bright RC Pro Reapers already has one empty shelf and was well on it’s way to another one. Yep, that’s one sign of a VERY popular item.
The New Bright RC Pro features:
- Speed, Power, & Performance
- PC Ultra Light Body
- Digital Proportional Speed
- 4 Band Auto Pairing
- 12.8 Lithium Ion Battery & 1 Hour Quick Charger
Let’s start with the box because we all know getting toys out of the box is more than half the battle. Well packed but guess what? Mom did it without benefit of four letter words or any tools. Up next battery – can’t go anywhere without it. Pop the battery in the charger and plug it in. It is that EASY! No tools. No parts. No work.
One hour later we popped the battery into the bottom of the Reaper and it was time to learn how to drive. Even this inexperienced RC driver and lacking in all eye hand coordination on video games mom was able to quickly and easily use the trigger controller. It only takes two things to really make this move! Trigger forward and back, twist for side to side.
Got two kids? Or I highly recommend going ahead and getting a second one for your children or your children and their friends to race. Just push the buttons on the side and you can have up to four of the same RC Pro take on each other.
Don’t hate us because it is Houston. Yes, the kids were outside this weekend enjoying the 75 degree weather and actually taking turns using the New Bright RC Pro! Can you believe it? We took it to Fort Bend Brewery (mom can enjoy their cream soda or root beer while dad and Great Beer Now blogger had a beer or two). It’s a family friendly place where we sat outside and had BBQ sandwiches, and watched the kids play with hula hoops, sidewalk chalk and of course their RC Pro. Once the battery ran out they were even nice enough to offer to plug it in for us to get some more charge. It’s so lightweight you really can take it anywhere!
I’m all about comparison shopping so compare these prizes to other stores and see what works best for your family.
