The girls love expressing themselves through art. Our fridge is covered with their drawings. The cabinets get them, the board, and anywhere else in the house where they can proudly display their work. They enjoy the fine and liberal arts equally, so were incredibly excited when they found out that we would have a chance to review Super Cool Art Kits!
Super Cool Art Kits offer budding artist, no matter what their age the ability to express themselves creatively. After opening our package we discovered it contained canvas, stretcher bars, paints, paint brushes, themed stencil sets, color wheel, paint palettes, craft sticks and more! All the things we needed not only to get started but to continue providing the kids with a chance to pursue their love of art, creativity and imagination.
We easily set up our work surface, first stretching the canvas and then popping out the stencils. She was anxious to get started and didn’t want to wait for anyone or anything. Our theme was a “beach” theme and our stencils included palm trees, waves, umbrella, boy, girl, swimsuits and a number of other items. While she enjoyed the stencils for the palm tree and girl on the beach, she also enjoyed the opportunity to free paint her own ideas.
One of the most popular items in our kit was the color wheel. Sure, we know the basics, but we were able to create so many more colors using the color wheel – like the tan on this little girl on the beach. The variety and array of quality paint brushes as well as cleaner was also a big hit with my daughter (and with me) since I didn’t need to run out and find more paint brushes for her to use. She’s not quite done yet, I think she still wants to add dolphins to this one, but in the meantime we had to run to Amazon and order some more canvases because she doesn’t want to stop at just one painting. Now that’s good news to this mom’s ears!
The painting tray was perfect for making sure we didn’t use too much paint as well as providing a safe place for mixing. I also enjoy the fact that she can continue to paint and play and it’s really only limited by the amount of paper or canvas that mom can come up with.
Right now it’s winter time, so for you it may not be any day at the beach, but I think it’s fresh in her mind because we just returned from our trip to Destin, FL. That’s okay, because there are several other options to choose from (pricing varies $19.95 – $89.95) depending on the size of the kit you order, Deluxe to Large Painting kit and several in between. Right now selections include: A Day at the Zoo, A Day at the Beach or a Night in Space but I also see Fairy Tales, Family Tree, Dinosaurs and Under Sea Adventure as among those offered in the past.
We liked our kit so much that we wanted to share one with one of our readers too! Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Super Cool Art Kits we can! Just use the Giveaway Tool below (18+ and U.S. addresses only please) to get started with your entries.
