During the summer we had so much fun creating fun snacks to take on the road with us or to the pool. We also had a lot more time to do them too. But now that the school season has begun not only do I need great snacks, but I need fast ones for after school before we head out to extra curricular activities. Jiff and Smuckers has made it not only easy but fun and healthy to create some super snacks for after school. Here’s 6 super snacks the kids are loving this yea as they head home for school and before they head out to soccer, cheer, art classes and more.

New twist on old favorite – PB&J
This one is so easy! It’s just a fun little twist on the traditional PB&J. Here I’ve used the Jif Peanut Butter with the Smucker’s Squeezable Grape Jam or Smucker’s Strawberry Jam. Just for fun I grabbed my cookie cutters and showed the kids a little love as well as some of our DisneySide with a Mickey shaped sandwich.
Bring a smile to your kid’s face with these Apple Smiles. It was also a great way to celebrate their healthy check up at the dentist this week too! It’s so easy, just slice some apples, for the outer smile, place Jif between the two slices and add marshmallows for teeth. It will also be a fun snack for your Halloween party as well as snacks for after school.
Super Strawberry Sushi
Super Strawberry Sushi can be a little sticky so you may want to grab those chopsticks! But the strawberry lover in your household will go crazy for this sweet treat. To create this snacks for after school:
- Lay out strawberry fruit strips
- Cut your Rice Krispie Treat down the middle and create a rectangle with placing it end to end on the edge of the fruit strip.
- Spread Smuckers Strawberry Jam on the top of the Rice Krispie Treat
- Roll up till the end of the fruit strip then cut into small pieces. I added a few little Skittles just for fun.
Bento Box Buddy
Are you picking the kids up from school and headed straight to an activity? Use a Bento Box with Jif Dippers/Jif to Go and favorite fruits. I added apple slices, banana and pretzels and we are ready for the road.
This was so delicious, now I warn you the finished product isn’t “pretty” but your kids (okay the whole family) will love it. First we covered a banana with the Jiffy Hazelnut Spread, then we rolled it in Kashi Vanilla cereal. Fruits, protein, and fiber – what better snack could I give them. You can eat it alone, freeze it on a stick or crumble it up and use it as a topping on vanilla ice cream. We have three on a plate below and they disappeared quickly. I was lucky to get the picture, let alone plate it for a picture.
Last by not least, was the biggest hit of all, the peach and banana were especially popular with the whole family. I’m honestly going to make it for my next party.
Mini Fruit Pizza
To make the mini fruit pizza, simply take a square of graham cracker, top it with Peanut Butter/Chocolate Jif Whips and then top with your favorite fruits.
Take your pick or make them all, but each one gives a quick and easy, delicious and nutritious snack, especially for those busy afternoons where it seems like lunch is a long, long time away.
