Just because Summer is over doesn’t necessary mean that all the warm weather fun has to end, especially when it could mean a trip to San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta to visit.
Here’s some great reasons to visit there right now!
Less crowds – lines for rides and food were short
Parking was — well parking was easy. Yes you heard me – easy.
The Six Flags Fright Fest – now this looks like a HOWLING good time!
Did I mention a day filled with family fun?
With little ones in the household we look for rides and attractions which the whole family can do, as well as a few for the older crowd, after all the kids shouldn’t get to have ALL the fun! Six Flags Fiesta offers both adult and children’s entertainment, attractions, food and fun.
Here area a few of our favorite things.
Kidzopolis is the place where kids could really be a kid! Splash and sprays to play in as well as a number of pint size powerhouse coasters. The Kidee Koaster was a favorite with so many families it was one of the few rides we had to stand in a rather long line for. Be sure to stop by the photo booth afterwards and check out out pictures. My kids admitted they put their hands in the air! And, so it begins. Taz’s Tornado was another big hit with the kids.
Money Saving Tip: Buy your 2014 Season Pass and visit the rest of 2013 for free. FREE PARKING for each pass, FREE Fright Night and FREE Holiday in the Park.
Family fun was had by all. . . after all the family that plays together stays together (and I don’t lose them in the park when they get off the rides) The Hustler had us behind the 8-ball as we laughed and spun. I am IN this little Teacup in the teacup ride and they grow up so fast with the Krazy Kars.
Of course you can’t do all this play without getting hungry so it’s time for a stop at one of the food vendors. Dippin’ Dots for all to help use with our munchies and to cool off some, but the snack time choices are varied and there is something for every appetite.
Money Saving Tip: I highly recommend getting the refillable cups available at a limited number of vendors. After purchasing your souvenir and filling it the first time you can fill again as many times as you like for only $1.00. Sates your thirst and saves your wallet.
Now it’s time to head over to the Fiesta Boardwalk, with traditional boardwalk rides like the Ferris Wheel as well as tons of games to play, and wow are these games popular and full of winners. Of course there is some fun for the adults right there before you enter and how can you resist the opportunity to fall from high in the sky?
It may not be Halloween all year round but it in on one of our favorite character’s houses. Scooby Do Where Are You?! Right inside of the Ghostly Manor.
Closing time is fast approaching – make sure you check the hours on the calendar before you plan your trip. During our visit the hours were 10-6 which was perfect!
It’s time to head back to our hotel and jump into the pool – who knows maybe I even told myself that was their bath that night. I know I enjoyed a little bit of down time pool side too after all the fun we had at Six Flags!
