I’m on my feet a lot. It’s the park, or shopping, driving, running errands, work and the school. “Flip flop” style shoes have become a fashion need, especially in the heat of Houston, Texas. However, I find that wearing certain types of sandals like regular flip flops leave my feet and knees hurting at the end of the day. It also means having to spend extra time taking care of my feet, knees and legs. I really needed a pair of sandals that would be cute, comfortable and supportive. That’s why I was really excited to learn about Oofos Shoes.
What are Oofos Shoes?
They are sandals, made in either thong or slide style. They are lightweight, comfortable, durable, flexible and I think they are pretty cute! They have this really cool technology that provides support and flexibility as well as comfort to your feet, legs and knees. They absorb the shock of walking, cushion your feet and actually do make your feet feel better. Here’s how it works.
So how did my feet like Oofos Shoes?
It was the end of the day and my shoes arrived. By now, really all I want to do is put on my house slippers and some Burt’s Bees lotion for legs and feet. They were hot, tired and hurt. If I could, I would have propped them up to do nothing at all, but there was still a whole evening of things ahead of me to do. I slid them on, just to see if they fit.
All I can say is Ahhh, Ooohh, and WOW! Guess what! I didn’t need my house shoes. My feet felt better already. They were so comfortable and my arches and foot pads didn’t want me to take them off. No, no house slippers needed!
There are two types of shoes available. My teen daughter prefers the slides, while I like the “thong” style. The thong style seems a little more “girly” comes in four colors: tangerine, fuschia (pictured above), mocha and black. The slides tend to be more masculine in style, in brown and black. Teens like them because they are great for sliding on and off, especially those that need something quick to throw on for say the locker room. But that doesn’t mean that men or women won’t like them, they are great for all.
Overall, they have quickly become one of my favorite sandals this summer, and because they are so well made and it’s always so warm here I can enjoy them for a long time to come.
