We have been trying to make healthier selections when choosing our grocery items, but sometimes you also just need a little bit of convenience too. That’s why were so excited to try Little Soya Soy Sauce, because we may actually get the best of both worlds.
Little Soya Gluten Free Premium Soy Sauce comes in a box of 12 little “fish” servings that you can use either while cooking at home, serving dinner at home or on the go. Each box is priced at $3.99 (approximately) because prices vary based on stores and locations. Here’s some of the nutrition information about Little Soya “Gluten Free, Less Sodium & Non-GMO” Gourmet [Premium] Soy Sauce:
- Lower in sodium than most leading brands
- Tested “Non-GMO” (that’s important to use right now because there seem to be a great many that aren’t clearly marked and I want to make the choice)
- It has no added msg
- Tested “Gluten Free”
Now that we know the nutritional information, how does it taste? And more importantly did my family like it?
Little Soya tastes very good, without all the salty taste of many other soy sauces. I like the little fish container because it means that each person in the family gets the taste and flavor that they want (I tend to want more and Mr. Money Saving Parent less). I also really like that the fish container is re-sealable and recyclable, so we use as much or as little as we want and have less waste.
I also really like the convenience of Little Soya. We can pop some in my bag to take with us out to eat. We can also take to parties and use it there, where everyone loved it for the same reasons we did- taste, convenience, healthy and less waste.
The only thing we didn’t like about Little Soya was that some of the fish were a little hard to open, especially for the children, so while they are perfect for the lunch box, a teacher may need to help to get them open.
I’m really looking forward to trying out some more of the new line of products like: Little Saucy, Little SpicyMustard and Little BBQ.
But what can you use it on? I wish I had pictures – but honestly the family ate dinner too fast. I made organic brown rice (365 from Whole Foods), Orange Chicken, steamed vegetables (carrots, broccoli and cauliflower) and pot stickers (or you may say dumplings). I put everything on the table only to come back out with my camera to find plates filled and people, including my mother in law digging in. So, while I don’t have pictures I can share with you some recipes to use with your Little Soya.
Chicken pot stickers (steamed or fried)
You can purchase Little Soya online as well as in a select line of grocery stores including HEB, Safeway stores, Stop and Shop [Metro], Big Y, Crosby’s, and Krogers.
Would you like to try Little Soya too? Here’s your chance. Six winners will be drawn and each one will receive one box (containing 12 fish) of Little Soya Gluten Free Premium Soy Sauce. It’s easy- just use the Rafflecopter below.

Since my dad has only been able to eat gluten free he has really missed chinese food. I would love to try this on plain ol’ white rice with him.
