It’s like a dream come true! Just imagine a sunny day in Los Angeles, which isn’t all that unusual, but then add to that the opportunity to see the premiere of “Inside Out” at the beautiful and history El Capitan Theater. Now, add to that the opportunity to actually walk the red carpet, well in this case it is purple, with all those that created the movie as well as all the other celebrities there to celebrate the premiere. Well that’s what I was doing just a week ago! I admit I’m taking the kids to a screening tonight, and that is really nice, but it can’t even compare to the excitement, thrills and anticipation I felt right before we headed onto the carpet. Be still my stomach!
My badge is on and it’s time to strutt my stuff! That is if I can quit looking around at all the fun and fabulous celebrity that is right in front of us! First up was making memories, as I select my very own special memory to share with the memory machine. Next, I head to Honesty Island and I think I did pretty well there, with the exception of the “Are you afraid of clowns?” question. As I explained, I’m not afraid of them, but they are not among my favorites. I tried my hand at Hockey Island, but there’s a very good reason for no picture of it – the 9 year old I was competing against kicked my behind! Apparently hockey is not my sport.
Stopping for a bottle of water I’m able to take a few minutes to enjoy the jugglers and other entertainment. The bounce house was a particularly popular spot to hang out, not only did it provide some shade, but moms of all types were there making sure there weren’t too many bumps or bruises. It may be a red carpet event but moms are the same, no matter where we are, as we all chatted about our children and the fun we were having.
I had so much fun making my memory flip book, but it can’t compare at all to the memories I made as I saw celebrities interacting with their children, as well as watching the paparazzi calling out celebrity names in order to get the best possible picture. Of course another fond memory is being able to do this with the 24 other mom bloggers, many of which are good friends of mine. Let’s not forget we got to dress up for a few hours.
The food was amazing! However, I admit that I passed on the Broccoli Pizza, Riley and I agree on that one. There’s just got to be better better toppings on a pizza and in a city like San Francisco, you know it. I just HAD to get a picture of the emotional cupcakes, I have a feeling that there may be a birthday party in their future, after their appearance on the red carpet.
Send in the clowns . . . as they make their way through the crowd reminding us that there’s more to this event that the fun and fabulous pre-party, there’s a movie premiere to attend! We all start heading in the magnificent, historic El Capitan Theater and after grabbing my popcorn and a bottle of water, I’m all set in a front row seat. Let the curtain rise, well in this case the organ player descend, and bring on the movie!
Just like in the movie, the red carpet premiere is making memories to last a lifetime. A few of those, I’m able to share with you in this video. Enjoy even more highlights, celebrity sightings and featured fun from the Disney Inside Out Premiere. Enjoy!
