It’s that time of the year where we are planning our annual Halloween party. I admit we haven’t hosted one in a while. Unfortunately Halloween has been falling on nights when Mr. Money Saving Parent is at work so it just doesn’t seem like as much fun to have a party when not everyone can be there. But this year we are so excited because not only does it fall on a weekend and he is off work but we can put a really personal touch on many of our Halloween decorations!
Halloween Party Planning from Invites to Favors
Great parties start with great invitations. With e-vites and Facebook events it’s easy to forgot that there is nothing like an invitation that you can post on the calendar or fridge to remind you of your Halloween holiday celebrations. These invites from PersonalizationMall.com gave me just the right “attitude” that my friends probably expect from me but they are also beautifully made. The quality was better than many photo prints I’ve ordered in the past.
I love this doormat and it makes a great greeting for my guests all throughout the Halloween season as well as to the little (and big) trick or treaters in my neighborhood. With the lights on and this to great them there is no doubt when they knock or ring the doorbell that they will be greeted with treats. My kids hate it when they walk up and aren’t sure if the household is participating. This way there is not doubt about it! Candy is available here!
This trick or treat bag is almost as adorable as my little Mavis who will be carrying it. Soft sided with a comfortable handle even the older children said “Where’s mine?” I thought they had outgrown them and were headed to the pillow case bag, but I guess I was wrong. I’ll have to order more so everyone has one. The only thing is at least one adult will need to carry a pillow case because this bag, while gorgeous and definitely a keepsake may be a little on the small side. My kids have big expectations for bags of candy.
Want to know how I made these simply spooktacular bottles? I grabbed a few growlers from the cupboard (after all Mr. MoneySavingParent doubles as GreatBeerNow so there were quite a few available to me) and then used the bottle labels I was able to personalize at the Personalization Mall Halloween store. Dad can fill one or two with his favorite brews, another one for our wine loving guests. Best of all they aren’t just for the Halloween party. I left them out all month as part of our decorations and they definitely deserve a second look. It was so easy to apply, but make sure you apply slowly and smoothly to get all the air bubbles out.
Spooktacular treat boxes with no question about who gave these to their friends. The girls all have their own friends coming to the party and with these boxes they can personalize not only what is inside them but give each of their friends a parting party favor. There is nothing hard about this project. Simply fill out the form online and they send you the boxes and labels. The girls had them labelled and filled in no time – saving mom this particular party preparation chore.
While not only beautiful, each of the items I ordered from Personalization Mall were also really beautifully done. Amazing quality in each item – the doormat even has held up to our rainy days and that’s something to be proud of. Ordering was a snap as you can fill out and preview each item before you finalize your order. It was so easy to do my Halloween party planning and really make it personal.
All I need to do now that I have all my decorations and party favors is to plan the menu and do some grocery shopping. Then it’s time to P-A-R-T-Y as I dress to impress in my best Jessie from Toy Story costume.
