Hotel restaurants vary widely. Some offer a quick, cafeteria style meal while others offer more formal, sit- down, customer- centric service. Here in Houston, one of our best hotels is also home to one of the better restaurants, featuring sit down service and customer focus. The hotel is Wyndham Houston West Energy Corridor and its Park Restaurant & Grill is one of the many highlights of this fully- renovated hotel property. Park Restaurant + Grille is a favorite for special occasions for our family and was recently named as one of the Top Ten Best Hotel Restaurants in Houston by Zagat.

What will you find on the menu at Park Restaurant & Grill? I have visited here with the family a few times and for breakfast, we usually go with the breakfast buffet. With such a wide assortment of hot and cold options, guests can serve themselves and eat exactly what they like in the quantity they prefer. My kids love the buffet because they can eat the breakfast foods they love most without too much scrutiny from mom or dad.
For dinner, Park Restaurant & Grill serves appetizers, soups & salads, sandwiches, pizza, entrees, and more. On a recent visit, I selected the Grease Monkey Hamburger with sweet potato fries while Mrs. Money Saving Parent chose the Cajun Pasta. Both meals were not only great tasting, they were also great for their presentations, which were like small works of art. This also holds true for the desserts. We ordered Bourbon Chocolate Cake and Bread Pudding and were almost as impressed by the artistic presentation as by the delicious taste of the food itself.
Our children decided to go with a popular option among youngsters: Pizza. Here at Park Restaurant & Grill, their selection was perfect. They loved the pizza and because it was larger than expected, a single pizza was enough for both to share.
Wash it Down
Quality food would be reason enough to visit Park Restaurant & Grill, but another standout is the beverage selection. A fully- stocked bar with multiple premium liquor selections means that guests can select the drink they want made the way they like it. And if you would rather go with beer or wine, you will appreciate the large selection. There are more wine and beer options at Park Restaurant & Grill than in most hotel restaurants and guests will likely spend a good deal of time reading through the menu choices and deciding what to order. I found several excellent craft beers on the menu and I like that Park Restaurant & Grill includes locally brewed beers as well as nationally known favorites.
Mrs. Money Saving Parent on the other hand, loved the selection of specially crafted cocktails you can’t find anywhere else. She highly recommends the Speakeasy and the Mahalo Margarita.
Plan Your Visit Today
Park Restaurant & Grill is open seven days per week and serves both hotel guests and outside customers. The Wyndham Houston West Energy Corridor hotel is easy to find, rising about 18 stories in height and dwarfing most of the nearby buildings on the I-10 Energy Corridor west of downtown Houston. It’s a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and its approachable elegance and quality proves the old adage that hotel restaurants are usually in sync with the overall quality level of the hotel. At Wyndham Houston West Energy Corridor, the satisfaction is high on all counts and the Park Restaurant & Grill ranks among the best hotel restaurants in the Houston area.
Updated: We love it there so much that we plan on going there to celebrate Mrs. Money Saving Parent’s mom’s upcoming birthday! They are traveling here from Ohio to visit for the holidays and we can’t wait to take them there.
