Were you spanked as a kid? Did your school have spankings? Mine did and while I was never the spankee my brother did receive at least one during his high school years. Apparently 19 states still legally permit spankings in schools, while 31 states have done away with allowing schools to legally spank your children. Should schools do spankings? Do you want a school administrator to spank your child? What are the rules about spanking in schools and who makes them. I decided to do some research and find out what parents should know about spanking or paddling in schools.

Who is doing the spanking? In one case, a mother objected not to the spanking, but to who did the spanking. The woman, a Dallas/Fort Worth area mom, gave permission for her teenage daughter to be spanked at school for allegedly helping a student cheat. By all accounts, this was a “good kid” who didn’t like the idea of getting paddled, but also didn’t want the alternative, a school suspension, on her record. What this parent didn’t know was that a male vice principal did the paddling.
