The Royal Sonesta isn’t just a hotel, but a wonderful dining experience and a family favorite especially around the holidays. We have been there for the 4th of July as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas tree lighting ceremony as well send friends and family that way to stay. We enjoy dining there just for fun, but it is even better when it includes a staycation experience at the Hotel. Thanks to the Royal Sonesta’s Chef I can now serve up just in time for grilling season (summer and Memorial Day anyone?) the BBQ Brisket Double Cheese Burger! It’s SO good!
BBQ Brisket Double Cheese Burger
BBQ Beef Brisket
2, eight ounce patties
4 slices cheddar cheese
2 slices BBQ beef brisket
2 ounces coleslaw
1 toasted brioche bun
Cook the two burgers over a grill until desired doneness. Top each burger with two slices of cheddar cheese. While the burgers are finishing, fry one egg sunny side up. Toast the bun. Place two patties on top of the bun. Top with two slices of BBQ brisket, coleslaw and the fried egg. Top with the bun. Enjoy.

Throughout the month of May, in honor of National Burger Month, Chef Robert Graham in the Royal Sonesta’s Axis Lounge will be spotlighting the BBQ Brisket Double Cheese Burger. Diners can indulge in a Saint Arnold Lawn Mower and this sinful burger made with two 44 Farms patties, cheddar cheese, BBQ beef brisket, coleslaw and a fried egg on a brioche bun. The burger and beer pairing is priced at $18.
