2lb sirloin steak – now if steak is not on sale you can also use beef stew meat or even ground beef it’s your choice.
1/4 cup butter
1 lb fresh mushrooms
2 cans beef broth
1/3 instant minced onions
1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup flour
2 cups sour cream
12 oz. medium noodles
3 tsp. butter
Wash, dry, peel and slice mushrooms. Sprinkle steak with tenderizer then cut across the grain in 1/2 in slices, then cut into 3 inch strips. (I admit I am not this precise and just cut them).
Melt 1/4 cup butter in large electric skillet and mushrooms and cook about 10 minutes, remove and let drain.
Add meat to same skillet and brown. Stir in broth, saving 2/3 cup, onion, ketchup and garlic. Cover and simmer 40 minutes. Cook noodles according to package.
Blend flour to reserved broth. Stir into meat mixture, add mushrooms and heat to boiling stirring constantly for 1 minute. Stir in sour cream and heat throughly.
Drain cooked noodles and toss with the 3 tsp butter or olive oil (my personal preference).
Serve meat mixture over noodles and with a side salad.
