Meatloaf Asian-Style
The recipe takes a staple meal and makes it something special. Economical and a crowd pleaser, serve with mashed potatoes and fresh carrot sticks and sliced red peppers. Teriyaki Experience Japanese Vinaigrette makes a great dip for fresh veggies.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 90 minutes
Serves: 4-6
Ingredients:
2 eggs beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
¾ cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
2 lbs ground beef
¼ cup ketchup
¼ cup Teriyaki Experience Sweet Chili Sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, green pepper, eggs, 1 tablespoon Teriyaki Experience Sweet Chili Sauce, ketchup, salt and pepper.
- Press into greased 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan.
- Bake for one hour.
- Spread remaining Teriyaki Experience Sweet Chili Sauce on top and bake for another 15-20 minutes until meat is no longer pink.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
Note:
For a twist substitute ground chicken or ground turkey.
