Summer is here and for me that means the return of freckles on my face. But at my age that isn’t the only thing that I’m noticing. A few fine lines at my lips and between the brows, as well as a few “laugh lines” or crinkles are supposed to give character to my face right? But with bright sun and stressful days as a working mother some of those laugh lines aren’t so funny. I need good coverage as well as excellent protection of my combination skin so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation.

L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation contains SPF 18 and is available in 12 shades. It retails for approximately $14.99 for 1.4 fl oz. and is available at mass food and drug retailers nationwide starting July 2014.
My mom was recently here for a visit. She mentioned that I could use a good foundation and generously gave me a rather expensive tube from a department store. I admit I really liked the foundation she gave me but at about $30.00 a tube it seemed a bit extravagant. Then my tube of L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation arrived and I was thrilled to try it out. After all at $14.99 it’s quite a bit less than the department store brand.
One of the first things I noticed is that this foundation goes a long way. A little is a lot and a little dab will do you. I can place a couple of drops on my hand and then use my make up brush to smooth and cover. I like that the color is so close to my own skin tones and that it has SPF protection – something that is an absolute must for anyone living in Houston.
Apologies for the “selfie” I’m still learning to master that. But just because I’m old doesn’t mean my skin has to look it! I have no other make up on and my skin looks glowing with my red marks, tired eyes and freckles all cleared up.
I also appreciate that this makeup doesn’t have the transfer that some foundations do. It has a more silky, smooth matte surface. I noticed that I didn’t have to clean my cell phone screen as often or worry about any embarrassing smudges. In a short period of time it looked like my face had less lines and I had people asking me what I was using on my skin. Now that’s exciting!
Sure I don’t look like Andie McDowell, who I think is an amazingly beautiful woman, but my skin sure does come close!
I recently traveled and saw a friend I haven’t seen in 6 months. She loved the look of my skin and asked me what I was using. Now that was a compliment worth traveling all the way to New Jersey for!
