LiveSmart bars are a healthy alternative for people who are on a gluten free, soy free, lactose free, peanut free and wheat free diet. There are two types of bars available; the flax bars or the raw bars. Both types of bars are vegan friendly and made with non-GMO products.
The original LiveSmart bar is the flax bar and it comes in two flavors, chocolate and original. The raw bar comes in four different flavors, Cranberry-Pumpkin Seed, Chocolate Suicide, Power Fitness and Original Fruit & Nut.
The non-GMO ingredients used to make the bars are all used for a variety of healthful reasons. Flaxseeds are used in all of the bars and brown rice is also a common ingredient. Flaxseeds are used because of the high content of alpha linolenic acids (ALA) found in them. ALA is a type of plant-derived omega 3 fatty acid. Brown rice is often used because it contains B-vitamins, essential minerals and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
Other ingredients found in LiveSmart bars include almonds, sunflower seeds, dates, coconut, green tea, sesame seeds, cinnamon, and a variety of fruits; pomegranate, oranges, apricots, cranberries, blueberries, etc. A unique ingredient included in the bars is sea salt. Sea salt is used because it is known to be effective in stabilizing irregular heartbeat, balancing sugar levels and also good for preventing muscle cramps while acting as a natural antihistamine.
Let’s take a look at them before we taste them. Look at all the “real food!” I like that it was longer and thinner than many other bars that are just too chunky. This was easier to handle on the go and also not crumbly like other bars I’ve tried. What I really loved was all the delicious flavors, as well as the health benefits all packed into just this one bar. It’s fast, easy, healthy and delicious. There were large pieces of real fruit, nuts and more in each bite, and not a lot of “filler.” I was actually eating something that tastes great and is filling. I admit there was so fighting over who got to try the chocolate suicide, though I personally preferred the Fruit and Nut.
Which one is your favorite?
