Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Here is an easy to do recipe to make scrumptious Hot Ham and Cheese “Sandwiches” in just a few minutes.
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
Cooked Ham – Cubed approximately 1 1/2 cups
1 box of Cream Cheese
Optional: My middle daughter prefers it when I add shredded cheddar cheese to hers. If you family would enjoy that too, you will need about 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
1 brick of butter or margarine
Chopped onion (to taste I use about 1/4 cup total)
1/8 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
Leave cream cheese out to soften some (about 20 minutes). Roll out crescent rolls from the whole tube making squares. I like to use the rolling pin to stretch it out a little bit.
Mix all other ingredients (except butter) in a large bowl.
Place large spoonfuls of ham and cheese mixture into center of crescent rolls square.
Fold corners in and seal the edges by pinching them together.
Place sandwiches in a non stick baking pan. I spray it with a light coating of non stick cooking spray just to be safe.
Melt butter and pour/brush over sandwiches.
Back as directed on crescent roll instructions for approximately 10-12 minutes. Oven times vary, but you want a crisp light crust and the cheese to be all melted.
Serve with a side salad and dinner is easily and quickly served!
