It’s fall in Houston and with it comes cooler temperatures and one of the most popular pumpkin patches in the area, Dewberry Farm. If you haven’t visited Dewberry Farm here’s a few of our families favorite reasons to go there!
- Pumpkin and corn cannons
- Flower picking
- Ft. Dew Hickey
- Jumping Pillows
- Fire Pits
- Meet the chickens and other farm animals
- Visit the country store
- Win the rubber duck race
- Mine for gems and,
- Watch the show of singing chickens
Don’t worry! The fun doesn’t stop there! Here’s my youngest favorite – the Pumpkin Holler! Carved and lit pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.
Another favorite is the Zipline! WHHEEEH!! And, once you pay to play on the Zipline you can continue to go back as many times as you like during your visit.
Fort Dew Hickey is another family favorite – not only is it free to play but I love getting pictures waving down to me from the top of the fort.
Money Saving Tip: Purchase the Adventure Pass, it saves about $8.00 per person. You don’t need one for every family member, but I highly recommend it for each one of the kids aged 6 and over.
And now it’s time for pumpkins! First we load up on the tractor ride which takes us past the flower garden, corn maze and through the Christmas tree farm. The girls are already selecting the trees they like best. And, here we are! In the pumpkin patch where you can find pumpkins big and small.
There’s food to eat and sweet treats. Some vendors take cash, some tokens so be sure to talk to the person in the token booth so you know where to go and how to buy when you get there.
Are you ready to “do” the Dew-berry Farm? Plan your visit by finding out about ticket prices and hours or operation online at Dewberry Farm.
