The holidays bring a whole lot of joy to families, but it can also bring a whole lot of stress. There is just so much to do and so little time. This year I’ve discovered the joys of DoorDash and am unashamedly using them to bring joy to my friends and family this holiday season. Here are 5 ways you can too.
Holiday Travel
I recently took my daughter to Fort Worth for the Twenty One Pilots concert. We arrived in the evening and she had a friend that was meeting us at the hotel. It was COLD outside and we were both tired. We really didn’t WANT to go look for a restaurant, leave the comfort of the hotel or have to change the meeting time with her friend. It was DoorDash to the rescue! We sat in the relaxing lobby of the hotel waiting for two things. DoorDash and her friend. DoorDash saved me time and money. We ordered fajitas and had them delivered and enjoyed them from the comfort of our room while watching movies and getting to bed early so we could get an early start. After all Twenty Pilots fans wait for no one when it comes to getting your wristband to determine the order you get to enter the floor and how close you can get to the stage. We were able to spend more time together with her friends and the hotel bar made me a delicious margarita at happy hour price to enjoy with my dinner.
As you travel this holiday season there will be plenty of opportunities to sit down and eat with your friends and family members. But those nights when you arrive after a long day in the car take advantage of DoorDash and let them find you the perfect way to wind down before all the holiday hustle and bustle.
Pot Luck Party Planning
Every year our mother’s group has their annual holiday party. It’s for moms only. These are ladies who have been friends since our children were toddlers! Every year it takes a lot of work to create just the right dish and you know that with our busy work and family schedules sometimes it’s not easy to create something other than a quick dip. This year enjoy the time you have to spend with your friends at parties by ordering from DoorDash. Order your potluck party dish and have it delivered to your door then walk into the party as if you made it!

Holiday Parties
DoorDash is the best of both worlds especially if you are hosting a party for your office or friends. It brings to your party the benefit of catering services, delivery but from many of the restaurants which you love but that may not offer catering. This way you can serve the foods you want without compromising. Just order from the DoorDash menu and have it delivered to your home. Set up and forget it!
Stress Less
What’s even better about this is that sometimes I’m so tired after planning the party and cooking that I’m not at my best as a hostess. Using DoorDash takes the stress out of both the planning and preparation as well as giving me more time to get dressed or stressing about “what if the food comes out wrong?” I think Christmas Eve is the perfect time to use DoorDash so I can get out of the kitchen and into the family room. We wear our Christmas pajamas, watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and everyone gets to pick one gift to open up. Instead of everyone asking me to hurry up I’ll be right there with them, and I can get my glass of Egg Nog and wrap those gifts after they go to bed that much faster.
Give the Gift of Time
Want to do something nice for someone this holiday season? Give them the gift of time spent with family. Order from DoorDash and text them that dinner is on its way. It’s so easy and you just keep your card on file so that you can pay for dinner and even leave a tip. Last night we took advantage of that opportunity because a family member has the flu. We ordered Chinese food for the rest of the family and a carton of Hot and Sour Soup for the sickie. And it is cold and flu season so that’s even one more reason to use it to make someone feel a little bit better.
Merry moments can start this holiday season for you and your family with delivery from DoorDash. At DoorDash, you’re connecting to easier evenings, happier days, bigger savings accounts, wider nets, and stronger communities (especially as you order from your area restaurants). And just think of all the different foods you will be able to try from the comfort of your home and your pajamas! No muss, no fuss, just spending time with those you love.
