Introducing Campbell’s New Skillet Sensations. Campbell’s Skillet Sensations are one of the newest in the line of convenience foods making cooking and recipes even easier to busy families. I don’t know about you, but I do know that I’ve been using Campbell’s soups successfully in a number of different recipes for many, many years (yeah really that long), so I was excited to try something new from a product I know and love. I was also excited to find a way to have a healthy dinner made in about 15 minutes from start to finish. It’s actually closer to 25 minutes but I get interrupted, a lot.
There are six different Campbell’s Skillet Sensations, which are actually like a cream sauce with spices, seasonings and a few vegetables that can help make your plate, great in just a few minutes. You can see four of them pictured above. Here are all the different flavors to choose from.
- Creamy Chipotle with Roasted Corn & Black Beans
- Marsala with Mushrooms & Garlic
- Thai Green Curry with Lemongrass & Basil
- Toasted Sesame with Garlic & Ginger
- Fire Roasted Tomato with Red Bell Peppers & Chiles
- Scampi with White Wine & Garlic
It is SO easy to create dinner with Campbell’s Skillet Sensations. I cooked the chicken in the skillet using a little bit of olive oil. Next I cut it up because 1) it cooks faster and 2) the kids like it that way and it makes dining easier for mom.
While the meat is cooking start some rice or pasta, white or brown doesn’t matter. We used white for this spicy chipotle with chicken recipe, brown with the Thai and then whole grain penne pasta for the more “Italian” dishes.
After the meat is cooked, open your pouch and pour the sauce and heat to boil. Let it simmer about 5 minutes.
I steam some veggies to share while everything is cooking.
All you do is pour the sauce over your rice or pasta and serve.
Now the Chicken Chipotle comes with some corn and black beans in the sauce. I decided to pump up the veggie volume by adding some Green Giant Organic Southwest Corn which has corn, black beans, peppers, and onions. It was a big hit AND makes the dish go a little bit further. We actually had four servings when we added the veggies and a small side of some chips and queso. (The kids love it and I thought it would be a good way to introduce a new recipe to them).
Our meal was a big hit! No leftovers to put away and that makes me a happy mom. I also did it is very little time and it was delicious. On a busy school night, especially once that includes extra-curricular activities this can be a time saver that actually brings everyone to the table. I could also see myself using this for say dinner with some friends making even larger portions of any of them. I think the Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger was the kids favorite though, after I added some Veggie Egg Rolls (Whole Foods has some AMAZING ones – 4 for $2.99) and some steamed veggies it was just the right size, healthy dinner.

Each pouch lists their ingredients, so be sure to check them for your dietary requirements and the calories vary from 40-70 per serving (the sauce). You should be able to find Campbell’s Skillet Sensations in your grocery store in the boxed dinner, gravy or sauces aisles.
