We love cole slaw and with this easy 3 ingredient recipe makes it easy to make and delicious to eat. But even more importantly in the how summer months it doesn’t involve any mayo so it’s easier to take to cook outs and on picnics.
1 lb of cole slaw mix – shredded cabbage and carrots
1/2 cup of craisins (cranberry raisins)
Poppyseed dressing – I like to use Brianna’s but I know it’s not available in all areas – to taste.
This is ready in MINUTES! And if your dressing has been in the fridge you can go from toss to serve all in one easy step. If not, I recommend chilling in the fridge for about 1 hour before serving.
Place all ingredients in a bowl. The amount of dressing you use is according to your taste. I like it nice and creamy so use approximately (almost 3/4 cup) of dressing.
Then I grab my beautiful Polders Old World Market Salad Spoon and Fork and Toss. The best thing is that these not only help make the recipe but are pretty enough to serve with too!
I serve this recipe with all sorts of meals! Burgers, hotdogs, chicken and anything BBQ. It’s delicious with most BBQ sauces and best is eaten fresh. It does start to color a little bit with the purple and red if allowed to sit in fridge for too long.
