As fall arrived, my thoughts turn towards some of my favorite fall and winter scents and flavors. Of course, I admit that Cranberry is a taste and scent that I always enjoy and can be adapted for use in many recipes throughout the year. In the pictures below, with green sugar garnish it’s perfectly decorated for a very Merry Cranberry Margarita for the holiday season. However, top it with red sugar sprinkles and you have the perfect Valentines Day drink recipe.
Disclosure: I was provided with samples of some of the products mentioned in this recipe in order to make it possible. However, all other expenses are my own. All opinions expressed are my own or my guests.
Last year I learned about the tequila brand Pura Vida, and this year I had the opportunity to rock the brand with Godsmack, while finding out about some new recipes like the Sully Smash and new products from Pura Vida like the Extra Anjeo Tequila and the Naranja, which is an Orange Liqueur.
After trying the Naranja with some of the recipes posted by Pura Vida, I had all sorts of ideas for recipes, and not just for drinks, though we have ideas for plenty of those too! We have our Shrimp Margarita Salad for one and I know there are more to come.
What I like best about the Cranberry Margarita is that in addition to being colorful, it has a crisp, sweet and tart taste. The Silver Tequila is the perfect compliment and very smooth, while the Naranja Orange Liqueur is not an overwhelming sweetness and made specifically for drinks like the margarita. It’s an original Margarita if you will, without any French interpretations.
It’s also easy to make, I can make a large portion to share with everyone from Christmas dinner to Super Bowl Sunday to Valentine’s Day dates. When summer rolls around, I can make a pitcher and spend more time by the pool and less time in the kitchen when I’m entertaining.
What’s your favorite Margarita flavor? Now, give it a try with one of the Pura Vida Tequilas, I know I will!
