We have mentioned how we are selling our home and that a showing can really happen at any time. We have a no less than one hour window for notification but that is not a lot of time especially when there is an OOPs moment like the one I experienced the other day. My one hour window started and I had already agreed to a showing at 4 pm. Getting things ready I find out that there’s no Charmin in the bathrooms. I’m not saying in just one bathroom. I’m saying “Oh my gosh what am I going to do the TP holder in 2 of the bathrooms is empty, no refills and there’s a partial roll upstairs. How do I possible make it to the store and get the house cleaned in time? Mr. Money Saving Parent says no one will notice but I’m sorry I think I would notice no toilet paper in the bathrooms and goodness only knows what will affect a sale of a house.

I made it. A trip to the gas station on the corner and at least there was a roll on each holder. It wasn’t good tissue paper. It wasn’t soft or pretty but it was better than empty. But I did learn one thing and that was I could actually Avoid the Opps moments like this one when I shop online with Walmart. As you can see I’m not even going to leave the gas station tissue paper out!
Avoid the Opps in the Bathroom
After that scare I headed to www.avoidtheoops.com. I had a knee procedure scheduled for Tuesday morning and I was supposed to be taking it easy afterwards. That means no grocery shopping for me and I so didn’t want another situation like that one to happen. Once there I was able to get so much of my shopping done, especially for the bathrooms. They say kitchens and bathrooms are what sell a house.
I quickly and easily filled my cart with things I know my house is going to need. You KNOW tissue paper was at the top of the list and let’s face it girl products since we have FOUR GIRLS living in this house. Double toothpaste and mouthwash means everyone stays in their bathroom instead of heading to moms to brush their teeth. And, don’t forget the Febreeze plug ins and spray to keep the house smelling beautifully when people come to see it.
My box arrives, and just in time. I’m laying in bed with an ice pack on my knee. I’m able to unbox and tell everyone where everything goes and I didn’t have to move an inch. Best of all, there’s no more OOPS moments or a yell to mom that there’s not tissue paper in the bathroom. There’s even a razor for all everyone who needs to shave!
My daughter had her own “ooops” moment the other day and was so embarrassed! Mom fixed that by picking up some tissues that are stronger than those yucky store brands.
Let’s face it, many oops moments happen. How often have you been trying to juggle that bulk size toilet paper or paper towels along with your groceries in the cart or getting it out of the car? How long have you had two litter bottles or cans of items go flying down the driveway because the bag broke or opened while driving or while opening the trunk? Or maybe like me you also had to take some down time in bed. My daughter won’t be blushing when her tissue paper doesn’t hold up. My other daughter won’t be embarrassed that she needs to shave before putting on her swimsuit and mom will be happy to avoid all the cries for “MOM!” that happen when oops happen. It’s times like these I’m so glad to avoid the opps with Walmart shopping online and free home delivery.*
